Be there for someone else. Give blood. Share life.
Today marks another year to celebrate the ‘World Blood Donor Day 2018’, with the theme: Be there for someone else. Give blood. Share life.
Previous years have afforded us the opportunity to receive voluntary blood donations thereby saving lives. We are grateful to all our selfless unpaid donors who have made blood available to those in need.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO) “Transfusion of blood and blood products helps save millions of lives every year. It can help patients suffering from life-threatening conditions live longer and with a higher quality of life, and supports complex medical and surgical procedures. It also has an essential, life-saving role in maternal and child care and during the emergency response to man-made and natural disasters”.
We call on you to join us today in donating blood to in order to ensure availability of blood to patients in need.
